1969. This particular version of Senor Soul IS War, but it wasn’t always that way. Initially, Senor Soul was Charles Miller’s own separate group. When Miller became a full-time member of the Night Shift (the band that became War) and hooked up with Eric Burdon’s people, the new group actually recorded a few singles under the “Senor Soul” moniker. Miller essentially supervised these last few recording sessions.
